I’m all Twittered now. I knew I was behind the times when NPR did a story about it and the Car Talk guys made fun of me for not having an account. So, yes, you can now find out exactly what I’m up to at all hours of the day. Funny thing though- I’m not usually working on a computer, so we’ll see. It’s funny that their logo is strikingly similar to an intaglio monotype of mine from a few
I’m pretty well slammed for the next few days getting ready for the SD show, but I thought I’d toss up a couple of pictures for you in the meantime: Mike’s new “Sportasket”, a deep-dish version of the sportsman’s “Sportour”. The concept with the Sportour is a medium to large platform designed for cross over utility and sport usage- custom built for the rider and their n
It has recently been brought to my attention that I was “going all Bilenky“ While I appreciate the professional and personal style, I was starting to pose a fire hazard. More then one person who stopped by noted the smell of burning hair, and soup was becoming uncharacteristically challenging to eat in an elegant fashion. Having been down this road before, there was really only one thing to do: Jude Law,
Two quick bits of what makes this a fun gig- A couple of months ago I sent of a new road fixed gear to Chicago. I’ve decided to take a much needed brake this weekend and have not one, but two breakfast-with-friend days this weekend. Saturday will be low key, followed by last minute detailing and shipping of this frame. Sunday will be a
Show news! The Oregon Bicycle Constructors Association is pleased to announce the 2009 Oregon Handmade Bicycle Show. This showcase event will highlight some of the best of talent in the country, both from Oregon’s rich bicycle community and further afield. In addition to the builders, the Oregon Handmade Bicycle show will feature select bicycle industry businesses. This two day event is scheduled for Halloween
Picture reports from the Indy show look great- lots of cool building happening! While it does look like there is a growing trend to make show-only bikes, the level of craftsmanship and friendly one up-manship is great for all of us (builders and riders). Here in Eugene I’m having my own N.A.H.B.S. weekend- that is, celebrating with the Newly Acquired Home Brewing Solution: My last conical burr grinder died a sl
