Bit of a weird week- lots of small steps on different projects. I got an early start on BG’s road frame- started this one off on the rear end. I have the drop out/ chain stay/ BB shell/ seat tube tacked up as a sub assembly, but a pending tube order had me hang that one up for a day or two. More on this one soon. I filled in the middle of the week busting out a couple of forks for Phil. Thanks Phil! I spent a d
Hi folks- Just an update to say that I just deactivated my Twitter account. I found the format non conducive to my communication style. To top it off apparently my account was hacked- if you have been getting spam Twitter messages I appologize. In any event, the blog, flickr and occasional Facebook post will continue. Thanks!
I’m back from the Seattle Bike Expo/ Classic Bike Show. It was a great time- I got to show off the bikes, raise awareness about the Oregon Bicycle Constructors Association (of which I am the VP) and try to get folks pumped for the Oregon Handmade Bicycle Show in October. While trying to organize some of my flickr photos I seem to have stopped some from showing on the blog. I’m trying to go in and fix the ones I find, but if anyone notices issues deeper in the blog please let me know. EDIT- I think I fixed the broken links! If I missed anything just shoot me a note. Thanks!
Hey folks- Sorry for the blog delay- I’ve been on the road a bit and in the shop. First up- Ralph’s Strada Classico is finished on the metal work front: The details came together just as I wanted- clean, classic shapes in a distinctive package. Here is a fun, old school lug shape. Crisp shorelines and thin tapers. This bike is off to the plater, then off to paint. I’ll post up more when it comes bac
