“Hanabi”- 花火 Japanese for “firework” and composed of the charters for flower and fire. Beautiful, intense and celebratory, the Winter “Hanabi” is a new 650b road bike designed for adventure.

The Hanabi was commissioned as an all road performance machine for fast road rides that have a tendency to wander into rougher (sometime much rougher) conditions. The goal was to produce a nimble and fast road bike that was sure footed off piste and was a rock solid descender. Designed to be ridden unloaded, this bike does have room for fenders for the wet seasons and sports a mid fork integrated dynamo lighting system.

The frame set is made with a combination lug and bilaminate construction. Extra hand carving and metal work detailing helps really set the Hanabi apart. The metal work is expertly dressed in an antique rose and cream Keith Anderson paint job with his expert lug lining. The custom Winter French-point stem features an integrated bell mount and was coated by Custom Powderworks. The Hanabi’s classic aesthetic is paired with a Shimano 6800 mechanical group, Tektro long reach brakes, and White Industries VBC cranks. The Grand Bois tires spin on Pacenti rims laced to White Industry and SP hubs.
