“Painless Electric”- named for long hours in the seat and the indelible smile of the long ride. This custom bike draws heavily from a classic French randonee tradition with 50’s Italian racer sensibilities and distinctly Winter lines and detailing.
The Painless Electric is built with a mix of modern tubes and assembled with both lugged and bilmainate joinery. The signature Gothic head tube points are echoed in the asymmetric points of the drop out transitions, rack tabs and stem point. The bike system was designed as a streamlined whole. The Winter stem bell mount features integrated hanger and bell mount. The internally routed brake cable maintains the clean flow of the bike. The integrated dynamo lighting system wiring is routed internally for a tidy look and a secure connection. The bike is equipped with Shimano Ultegra components, Cane Creek 110 headset and Paul Racer M brakes and seat pillar supporting a Brooks saddle. Polished A23 rims are laced to a Curtis Odom hi-low 11 speed rear hub and Schmidt dynamo front and roll on 30mm Challenge tires. The front and rear bright chrome carriers support custom luggage by Ruth Works SF. Both the frame and fork also have polished chrome accents set off by a rich silver metallic paint with black mica and gold accented paint by Keith Anderson.
The Painless Electric is equally comfortable for faster sporting rides, longer weekend tours and every day utility riding.
